ZAKAT CONTRIBUTION TO KOLEQ PRESENT BOYS

Assm dear friends,

Our batch's contribution in giving scholarship from our zakat to pelajar2 kurang berkemampuan kat koleq is entering our fifth year already.

I am changing the format a bit this year - previously we specify the amount per scholarship and koleq will nominate the students. However, after consultation with Miss Sherry, Cikgu Umi and Cikgu Puteri (teachers in charge of scholarship), we realise that there are different needs i.e. there are some who need more, some who need less.

So from this year onwards, we shall contribute the sum, while koleq will decide the breakdown because they know better.

My target this year is to contribute RM10,000 for this purpose, which is not a great increase from RM8000+ which we contributed last year.

There have been people who have already transferred money to my account for this purpose and thank you very much for your kindness.

I now would like to extend to all of us, who wish to contribute, to do the same - Insya Allah what we help other people's children, Allah akan balas in other people's help in our children in the future.
